World Blood Donor Day 2025 — A Commitment to Save Lives

On World Blood Donor Day 2025, Hari Anmol Jeevan Sansthan — under the aegis of #SevaBloodBank — took a significant step towards spreading this vital message by organizing a Blood Donation Camp and Donor Awareness Program at the prestigious Karma Devi Educational Institute in Basti.
This event was dedicated to creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and to inspire youth to actively take part in this life-saving cause.
🌟 Inauguration and Pledge for Humanity
The program was graciously inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer of Basti, who lit the ceremonial lamp and cut the ribbon — symbolizing the start of a noble initiative. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Medical Officer stressed the life-saving power of blood donation and acknowledged the role of youth as a vital force for a healthier society.
On this occasion, all participants — especially students and faculty — took a heartfelt pledge to donate blood and motivate others to do the same. This pledge was a powerful reminder that each one of us can make a profound difference in someone’s life simply by sharing a part of ourselves.
🩸 Blood Donation and Youth Participation
With immense enthusiasm and a sense of purpose, 17 units of blood were successfully donated during the camp. Nursing students and other youth participants not only donated but also registered as potential future blood donors, eager to continue this humanitarian journey. The presence and participation of the youth were especially heartening — reinforcing our belief that this next generation is capable of bringing long-term change.
🌳 Raising Awareness and Building a Healthier Society
More than just a one-day event, this initiative created a lasting impact by spreading awareness about the need for regular, voluntary donations. Many attendees learned important facts about the safety and benefits of blood donation — and how one unit of blood can save up to three lives. Together, we strengthened the message:“Donate Blood, Save Lives.”
